Celtic, Rangers, Queen’s Park or Partick Thistle – if I find property to rent in Glasgow, which mob should I choose to support?

Obviously the Glasgow giants need no introduction. Supporting them would surely bring cup finals to attend, silverware to celebrate and few losses to get depressed about.

However, where’s the fun in expecting to win every week? That leaves me with Patrick or Queen’s, although I should mention that there are a fair few clubs, like St Mirren or Dumbarton, nearby.

Choosing between the final two is pretty easy to be honest. Queen’s are fairly terrible and play their games at soulless Hampden (although it’s great when at full capacity for a Scotland game) whereas Partick have the makings of a good team and have a proper relic of a ground.

C’mon you Jags!

I’m going to sell my mobile and get one of those new, whiz-bang smartphones. I hadn’t been that bothered about such devices till recently. Sure, they are cool, play your videos and music and even make phones but I was fairly happy with what I had.

That was until I discovered that there is now an app that allows you to watch live football through your iPhone. It is £10 a month, but to me it’s well worth it for easy and direct access to live football.

And, no doubt after the new device arrives, I’ll find plenty of other uses for it and it will soon become indespensible.

I’ve recently became very interesting in photography, especially taking sporting snaps.

I had never realised the range of lens, flashes etc that you need to get used to, I was used to just ‘pointing and clicking’ with my digital camera.

Now, however, I’m using an SLR so the options are increased, as to is the quality of my shots.

It’s a slippery slope though as I now have an itch to buy more gear including some spare Canon camera batteries as they keep running out due to repeated snapping!

After that, there are cases, straps, lens all demanding to be bought – this could get expensive!

It may not be a particularly physically (although some of the old dears to take it a bit competitively) but bingo is an enjoyable distraction from high-energy sports.

I’ve been down to the hall a few times, but I much prefer the relaxed atmosphere of playing bingo cards online in the comfort of my own home.

It’s proved to be quite addictive, I’ve had a few wins and it’s an enjoyable way to while away a few hours.

So while it may not replace football, tennis, golf or badminton in my eyes, there is no doubt that a wee game of bingo once in while can be good fun.

A change in circumstances has led to me looking for flats to lease in Aberdeen – something that, overall, I’m very happy about.

I went to university in the Granite City and have frequently thought about returning to the North of Scotland.

While the move is predominately due to work, it also means I’ll be able to reignite my passion for Aberdeen FC.

They aren’t having the best of seasons, but I hope the board will stick with Mark McGhee and allow him to build a squad as he sees fit.

He needs to be backed though and the club would certainly benefit from some fresh investment.

In the coming weeks I’ll be heading over to Berlin for a footballing extravaganza, all funded by my new 0% credit card.

Myself and seven others are heading over for what should be an enjoyable break. Berlin certainly has plenty to offer visitors but for our group of football fans there is one big event that stands above all others – the Hertha Berlin v Bayern Munich match.

Despite the fact that the game’s a sell out, we’ve managed to get tickets online. For all the tickets to be gone is quite incredible when you remember that Hertha’s Olympic Stadium is a arena capable of holding 75,000 fans.

I can’t see Tony Mowbray hanging on to his job, or his Glasgow property for that matter, for much longer after the humbling from St Mirren.

Teams like Celtic just shouldn’t be beaten by teams like St Mirren. That’s no disrespect to the Buddies, but just look at the budget deferential between the two sides and the players at their disposal.

Apparently, it was St Mirren’s biggest win over Celtic for 52 years lumping further pain on what has been a disastrous season for the Hoops.

However, with Rangers punted out of the Scottish Cup, Celtic are now firm favourites to take the trophy. Personally, I’m hoping for a Raith Rovers and Ross County final but I imagine Celts will get their act together to win the final.

Received a gift token for the Manchester United supporters shop at Christmas and finally spent it a few weeks ago.

I spent it at Old Trafford after being lucky enough to get a ticket for the Champions League match against Inter Milan which United comfortably won 4-0.

So what to buy? A strip seemed obvious but the next question was which name to have on the back? Obviously, Rooney’s been in great form but it seemed a little obvious to get his name so I instead went for one of my favourite players – Darren Fletcher.

And sure enough, he went on to score the final goal. Good one Dazza!

Pretty busy just now looking for Rome flights and planning a big football weekend for later in the year.

The plan is fairly simple. Get cheap flights to Italy’s capital, enjoy the atmosphere, visit the attractions that make the city famous and head to the “Stadio Olimpico” – the home of both the Lazio and Roma football teams.

Ideally, I’d like to go and see the two teams battle out the “Derby della Capitale”, the “derby of the capital” for non-Italian speakers, but I’m more concerned about getting affordable flights and accommodation.

Anyway, since the two clubs ground share, there will always be one of the two teams playing at home on the weekend we choose.
