I tend to buy and sell items quite a bit on the internet so I am always at the post office sending off an array of varied, interesting and unusual items. Some of them are quite difficult shapes so I always have a ranges of boxes and packaging to hand to place each item inside and ensure it arrives safely with the recipient. You can buy boxes or packaging in a range of sizes and they are always strong and sturdy. For difficult shaped items, all you have to do is put a little padding around the edges to make sure they are secure.

Having spent hours searching the shops or surfing the internet for a perfect gift for that special person, it only seems right to make sure that it looks the part when you present it to them. That makes the packaging or the wrapping a key element and it is so easy to overlook that. A gift bag is a really good way to offer a present because you can wrap it in paper, or simply pop it into the bag. Thankfully, gift bags come in all shapes, sizes and colours so there will be one that will fit the size of present and also appeal to the recipient.

Looking for inspiration for a birthday present idea

I’m never very good at coming up with a good birthday present idea. I usually rely on family and friends to help me out with good ideas, as I seem to have a real lack of inspiration in this regard.

It’s my brother’s birthday in a couple of weeks, so the same old problem has arisen again. I’ve asked my mum and my sister for help, but they are drawing a blank too. He doesn’t really have any hobbies, so I can’t get him something related to his favourite pastime. I could just ask him directly if there’s anything he needs, but that would take the surprise out of it.
