Our kids have recently started primary school and we are finding almost every weekend they are coming home with a new project that they have to build.

Our friends have a young child and it was difficult to know what to get them for their birthday which was last week.

We visited a number of toy shops and looked at toy after toy, but didn’t want to duplicate what other relatives might be thinking of buying, so we thought about something that could act as learning toys.

We decided to buy two learning toys, one for help with counting and the other a series of kids books to help with words etc.

Looking for flats to rent

I’ve just spent the last couple of days looking at flats to rent in my local area. There’s nothing really wrong with the place I’m renting now, but I’ve been here for over four years now, and I really fancy a bit of a change of scene.

There’s not a lot available right now, at least not in my price range anyway, and none of the properties I’ve seen so far are really suitable for me. I’ll keep an eye on the housing market over the next few weeks using the Internet, and hopefully something will turn up soon.
